Get ready to flood the streets with an orange wave of cyclists - the Orange Bike Ride is back!
After the success of last year’s ride the Bicycle Advocacy Group is once again collaborating with the Embassy of the Netherlands in Malta to organise one of the most anticipated events of the year for the promotion of cycling as a means of transport.
Please join us on Sunday 13th of October for a fun bike ride from Ta’ Xbiex to Valletta and back. We will meet in Ta’ Xbiex (Dutch Embassy) at 2pm and expect to be back by 4pm. You can grab a free stroopwafel and a drink after the ride. The full route we will take is currently being finalised and will be uploaded to this page closer to the date of the event but it will be approximately 15km long, and will include some hills and inclines. If you don’t cycle regularly - or at all - don’t worry, the pace will be moderate and there will be a police presence along the way to help assure safety.
The event is open to everyone and is ideal for those would like to start getting around using a bicycle. We will also sort a bike out for you if you don’t have your own!
Children, supervised by adults, are welcome to attend if they are experienced cyclists and can handle hills.
All participants must register using this form and will receive a free orange t-shirt on the day.
